JACK STARTS KINDERGARTEN!!!

wow Where has the time gone??? Yesterday our baby Jackson started Kindergarten!!!! he was soooooo excited!!! so excited to finally get to go to the same school with Drew and Chan. He was most excited I think to be able to wear his new school shoes. lol  It was sad for me watching him get out of the car with the other’s but happy for him because I knew how excited he was.  He said yesterday that he had a good day, he’s only there for 3 hours! lol he talked about a boy in his class that kept crying throwing a fit as he put it!!! lol  He said he made 2 new friends!! :)  This morning he was so eager and ready for another day!!! It’s so cute when they are that age and enjoy going to school since it doesn’t last long!! lol   Drew today was already complaining about having to go and it’s only his second week of school!!! he’s NOT a morning person at all though, Drew that is!  It’s nice having a few hours to myself every day now where for the past 2 years when Jack was in preschool it was just a few hours 2 days a week.  The mornings still fly by for me trying to get stuff done before I pick him up.  I hope he has a great year!!! :)

 

ALEC STARTS SOCCER

Alec decided this year that he wants to give soccer a try.  He’s way to small for football and he’s missed several seasons of baseball (due to grades) that he would not make a team.  So he’s giving soccer a try, he seems to like to so far, says he does anyway.  His team ranges in 13-17 year old boys so it’s crazy to watch a game with kids that actually seem to “know” what they are doing! :)  LOL and to see the older boys get into their cars and drive home after a game, I’m not used to seeing kids on one of the boys teams be old enough to drive!!!!!!!!!!! crazy!!!! They had their first game this last Saturday, Alec did good! since he is smaller and not close to 6 feet tall like some of the other boys the coach played Alec and the younger smaller boys in the second half.  I’m sure also so that the older boys would score in the beginning!!! LOL   They did however win their game so that was neat!!

 

SOCCER SEASON STARTS

Drew had his first soccer game this last Saturday also! it was a Saturday filled with soccer games, going to one then the other, Chan didn’t have one, in a few weeks they all 3 start having games on Saturday’s!!! YIKES!! Drew did great! he loves to play, loves being outside non stop even when his game is at 2 in the afternoon and it’s 200 degrees outside, well maybe not that hot but it was pretty hot, in the 90’s. The boys just keep on playing doing great!! his team won so they were all pretty excited!!!!

8TH GRADE

Today Alec starts 8th grade!! I can’t believe he is in 8th grade!! I remember my 8th grade year still so well, first boy friend, and was loving JR. high! He seemed pretty excited to go today, I think because one of his best friends is going to his school now and also a girl that he’s liked for years is now going to his school!!! I hope he has a great year! I’m glad he let me take his picture, he doesn’t love his picture taken so much anymore! I usually have to beg him!!! :)  lol  He looks so old to me!!!

 

READY FOR KINDERGARTEN

Last week Jackson had his testing with his Kindergarten teacher and was able to get his docket with all his school subject folders inside it.  He was so excited to get it after seeing Chan and Drew with theirs for years, now he feels like one of them I think.  He did great on his assessment testing and is ready to start Kindergarten next week!!!!!

 

BACK TO SCHOOL FOR A FEW

Today was the first day of school for Chandler & Drew! I am not sure where the summer went??!! LOL It’s nice though to have them getting back into school, having a schedule and NOT home all day fighting!!!!! I am already missing not being able to sleep in some. Only Chan and Drew went back today AND even though they went back today they get out early ALL WEEK LONG!!!!!! the school is having their yearly beginning of the year state testing done, so even though they are back to school it’s only for 4 1/2 hours this week.  Jackson starts Kindergarten next Monday and Alec starts school tomorrow! So next Monday will be the “official” real day they are all gone!! though Jack will only go to school for 3 1/2 hours.  Still my mornings will be soooooo quiet and strange!!!!!!! not sure how I feel about that one?? very bitter sweet I’m guessing.  Chan & Drew seemed pretty excited to go back today, I am sure by tomorrow that will have changed seeing Drew is SO NOT A MORNING person!!! LOL

 

 

 

 

 

OPEN HOUSE

Yesterday three of the boys had open house at their Charter school.  They got to meet their teacher’s see their classrooms and some of their friends.  I personally know their teacher’s and they are great!!! I think the boys are going to have a great school year! I can’t believe our caboose is in Kindergarten!! It was cute watching him talk to his teacher and him seeing his classroom.  He’s a bit familiar with it and his teacher seeing Drew had her for Kindergarten 2 years ago.  School starts for Drew and Chandler on Monday, Alec goes into 8th grade on Tuesday and Jackson starts Kindergarten the following Monday. 

 

CUB SCOUTS

Since Drew is officially eight the other day was the first night he could go to cub scouts.  It happened to be a pack meeting.  For only being 8 for 4 days Drew had already completed his tasks to earn his bobcat award!!! Pretty amazing!!!! so he was pretty excited to get that patch the other night.  Drew is going to love cub scouts! it’s right up his alley! :)

 

 

 

IT’S GREAT TO BE EIGHT

Today Drew was baptized!!! since his birthday was yesterday on a Friday and before the first Saturday of the month he was able to be baptized the same month as his birthday rather then having to wait till next month like everyone else. He felt pretty special about that and the fact that yesterday was his birthday and that it’s just a celebration of DREW all weekend!!!!!!!!!! :)  It was such a nice baptism and Andy did a great job!!!! I am so thankful for everyone that took time out of their busy day to come! We are so proud of Drew! I hope he remembers this day for the rest of his life.  We all love him so very much!!!

DREW TURNS 8!

Yesterday our cute sweet FEARLESS Drew turned 8!!! I can’t believe he is already 8 years old!! He is such a blessing to our family! He LOVES to be outside and LOVES to be in any body of water!! He LOVES mustard!! he will put it on anything! yes, that means fries, chips, crackers and even just eats it with his fingers!!! (ya I know gross!!) he does however get his love for mustard from me, I loved it as a kid and still like it, just not as much as Drew does! LOL    Drew Also has no fear! he will do anything and try anything! He loves fast rides at amusement parks, loves to go fast on his scooter, skateboard, sled and his bike.  He is excellent at doing front and backward flips!!! just comes natural to him.  He is very independent and was already doing multiplication in first grade last year in school.  He also enjoys reading.  This last winter Drew went skiing for the first time with his best friend and Andy and loved it! If anyone saw him this past winter out in our backyard on our hill skiing that was Drew!!! LOL  We love him dearly and don’t know how we would function without his crazy personality!!! :)
