One day last week Jackson’s kindergarten class went to a convalescent home to sing Christmas songs to the older people. He got to wear a Santa hat that day so he had me take a picture.

 

THE ROAD HOME

The other day all of us volunteered for 2 hours up in Salt Lake at the road home shelter.  We worked in their warehouse where we sorted out the donations they were getting in.  It was so nice to  help people that don’t have anything. It’s been a rough few months for us and even though Andy still isn’t employed just yet these families and individuals are worse off then we are.  I think the boys got something out of the experience. 

THE LIGHTS AT TEMPLE SQUARE

After we were done volunteering at the Road Home the other day since we were in SLC we went and walked around Temple square and saw all the Christmas lights.  We’ve never gone and done it mostly cause it’s always freezing outside this time of the year. Since we were already so close we had to see them. It was very pretty and VERY crowded and VERY freezing outside!!! I’m glad we went and we can say we’ve seen them before.

ELEMENTARY CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

Today at the boys school Chan and Drew sang in their Christmas program. It was only grades 1-5th so Jackson didn’t get to participate this year.  I couldn’t hardly get any pictures of Drew, he was behind a bunch of tall kids so most of the pictures are of Chandler.  After the program I helped with Chan’s Christmas party, I rotate helping with holiday parties between the three boys that are in elementary school. The program turned out really cute!! 

SHOW CHOIR WINTER CONCERT

Last night Alec’s choir and show choir performed at their school.  It was the first time we got to see Alec perform in his show choir group. The show choir works so hard!! they practice twice a week after school for an hour. It was so fun to watch all the kids and Alec. They all did really good!!! Here are some pictures I got of them performing some of their songs.

JACKSON SINGING

In church today in relief society they had a Christmas program. Jackson’s class sang to us. It was so cute! It was so nice to actually be able to see him good and up close for a change rather then in sacrament where you can barely see your kid! lol  I wasn’t going to take a picture of him since It was in church but when I looked around the room other mom’s were taking pictures and one mom was video taping it on her phone. So I just hurried and snuck a picture.

LEADERSHIP DAY

Alec is in show choir at school and loves it!! most of his friends are in it also so it’s great that he’s found something he enjoys doing and looks forward to and knows in order to be in it he has to maintain a “C” average! :) He has choir every day at school and then they practice after school twice a week.  They work really hard.  Yesterday was leadership day at their school and they performed for the first time singing man in the mirror.  I was bummed I didn’t get to see it but they are performing a ton more through out the rest of the school year including next month for Christmas.  Here is a picture one of his friend’s took of a few of the kids from yesterday.

 

TURNING 6 IS AWESOME

Six years ago today I was induced 3 weeks early and had this sweet baby boy.  I can’t believe my “baby” is already six years old!!! where does the time go??? makes me so sad he is growing up so fast.  I’m losing my errand buddy! come next fall (2013) he will be in first grade and gone ALL day at school like the other boys. Jackson is SO stinking cute and the things he says are HILARIOUS!!! and he loves to sing!! he sings all the time.  Being the the youngest out of four boys he is SO LOUD!!! by far the loudest out of all the boys. I feel so bad for his kindergarten teacher! lol  What a blessing it is to have him apart of our family.  I can’t imagine not having him.  We love you Jack and hope that you had a great birthday!!!

BIG SNOW STORM

Yesterday we got about 6-8 inches of snow! the first big snow storm for this season! The kids loved it! they played in it yesterday afternoon and again today!
